Here’s how you will have a role to play in this team:
As the Commercial Finance Director for PPD, you will be the primary financial lead for all commercial reporting within the division. This is a high-visibility, leadership role responsible for driving financial performance through expert analysis and robust sales forecasting. You will serve as the got-to Finance partner of the Local & SalonCentric Commercial teams by owning the end-to-end commercial forecasting & actualization process. In addition, you will provide leadership to the broader Commercial Finance team during Budgets, Trends and Closes. This role provides direct support to the head of Commercial Finance and CFO of SalonCentric.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Forecasting & Planning
Division Sales Forecasting: Lead the Sales Forecast Process (WST) and DP valorized forecast checks for PPD USA.
Long-Range Planning: Support the financial modeling of the 3-Year Plan (LRP/CDMO).
Corporate Reporting: Manage E10 & Magnitude CAESTIM updates and provide communications to head of Commercial Finance for Corporate financial calls.
Consolidation: Lead the Total PPD Sales Confirmation Call consolidation and support VP, Finance in presenting to division Presidents.
Channel P&L Accuracy: Conduct "post-mortem" analyses on customer P&L accuracy to drive continuous improvement in allocation methodologies. Liaison with BEST, as needed.
2. SalonCentric Commercial Business Partnering & Sales Analytics
SalonCentric Sales Reporting: Act as the Commercial Finance partner for SalonCentric, overseeing SC Sales Construction, weekly sales calls, and the 5-Day Sales Bridge.
Shopper Investment Budget Management & Decision Support: Develop high-impact reporting to provide the PPD leadership team with actionable insights & tracking of PPD Brands’ promotional spend.
Planning & Forecasting: Partner directly with SalonCentric commercial leads to develop forecast phasing during Trends & Budgets. Proactively identify any risks/opportunities in SalonCentric GTN, with an emphasis on promotional (Shopper) investment.
3. Commercial Closing & Financial Control:
Closing Process & Reporting: Manage the Sales Landing Summary for PPD, North America and compile the Gross-to-Net (GTN) Memo for SalonCentric USA.
Latest Estimate / Flash: Manage the rephasing of sales and provide timely LE to corporate teams during month-end closing.
Closing Validations and Communications: Provide communication of the Latest HEBDO (weekly reports) to various finance and business stakeholders. Coordinate closing checks and provide timely validations to corporate teams.
4. Team Leadership & Transformation:
People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the PPD Commercial Finance team (MT), fostering a culture of excellence and proactive partnership.
Strategic Projects: Act as the Commercial Finance lead for critical divisional transformations, including the BPM and NEO projects.
Continuous Improvement: Oversee IT management issues related to finance systems and audit "BEST" work processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
Advanced Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis of sales and channel profitability to identify value-creation opportunities to division CFO and business leaders.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial finance, preferably within FMCG, Beauty, or Retail.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Must be able to navigate & manage Power BI and complex Excel files quickly and efficiently.
Analytics & Storytelling: Ability to synthesize complex data into a clear narrative for non-finance partners.
Agility: A "dynamic" mindset—capable of moving from high-level strategy to granular tasks without losing momentum.

Salary Range: $138,500 - $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
