Job Description

Company Overview

Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas—including airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special mission aviation, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation.

Wherever we operate, we build vertically integrated full stacks of capability—designing, building, and operating turnkey solutions that let customers scale capacity while benefiting from continuous cycles of innovation. With operators and engineers under one roof, we close the gap between lab and field—what we call connecting design with effect.

Metrea’s solutions are built for elegance: effective, efficient, and evolving. This approach enables our partners to do more with less and achieve outsized, asymmetric advantage against rapidly evolving threats.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, Metrea has facilities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond.

Group Overview

Air Mobility Group (AIRMOB) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea’s aerial refueling (AAR) capabilities, ensuring the readiness and operational effectiveness of the tanker fleet. AIRMOB oversees fleet management, maintenance, and airworthiness, working to sustain and enhance refueling operations. It manages the integration of new processes and technologies, ensuring that tanker aircraft remain mission-ready through effective logistics, maintenance oversight, and regulatory compliance. By coordinating across various teams, AIRMOB ensures the fleet meets both current and future operational needs, supporting a range of specialized air mobility missions.

Position Summary

In this role, you will serve as the primary administrator and technical owner of AIRMOB’s maintenance software ecosystem, including AMOS, FL3XX, iQSMS, and supporting integrations. You will be responsible for system configuration, data integrity, user administration, training, and the ongoing optimization of these platforms to support maintenance operations, airworthiness compliance, and fleet readiness. You will also act as the organization’s subject matter expert on AMOS functionality, driving adoption across departments and ensuring seamless data flow between maintenance, operations, and supply chain systems. You will be successful if you are technically proficient, a natural trainer, and thrive at the intersection of aviation maintenance and information systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform daily administration of AMOS including user management, role configuration, security permissions, and system monitoring
  • Configure and maintain AMOS business rules, workflows, automated notifications, and alert triggers
  • Manage AMOS module configurations across maintenance planning, materials management, quality, and technical records
  • Develop and maintain AMOS reporting using SQL queries, built-in report tools, and custom report templates
  • Execute and validate data migrations into AMOS including aircraft records, component data, and technical directive histories
  • Coordinate AMOS software updates, patches, and version upgrades with the vendor and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity across all AMOS modules, performing regular audits and corrective actions
  • Administer FL3XX flight operations platform including configuration, user management, and operational settings
  • Manage and troubleshoot the AMOS-FL3XX integration for real-time aircraft status, MEL tracking, and flight hour/cycle feeds
  • Support integration points with D365 (general ledger, invoicing) and other enterprise systems as required
  • Configure and maintain iQSMS safety reporting system settings, user access, and reporting workflows
  • Develop and deliver AMOS training programs for maintenance, planning, quality, materials, and records personnel
  • Create and maintain system training materials, user guides, quick reference cards, and standard operating procedures
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to end users across all maintenance software platforms
  • Conduct new-hire system orientation and role-specific training for maintenance department personnel
  • Identify opportunities to improve system utilization, streamline workflows, and automate manual processes
  • Evaluate new AMOS modules, features, and third-party tools for potential operational benefit
  • Serve as primary point of contact with AMOS (Swiss AviationSoftware), FL3XX, and other software vendors
  • Support the development and maintenance of the electronic task library (eTL) and maintenance program configuration in AMOS
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation including configuration records, integration maps, and change logs
  • Provide technical input for SMS data analysis, reliability reporting, and fleet performance metrics
