SENIOR ASSOCIATE, INTERNAL AUDIT

Essential Functions:
  • Efficiently and effectively perform internal audit and regulatory compliance audits for government clients under the supervision of a manager and/or partner.
  • Demonstrate expertise in risk-based control and compliance testing.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the internal audit and SOX regulatory environment.
  • Proactively/effectively communicate with client management to efficiently complete internal audit and SOX engagements and manage client expectations.
  • Demonstrate leadership and teamwork related to multiple engagements both within the practice unit and across the firm’s footprint in private and/or public sector industries
  • Display the ability to in-charge multiple clients and engagements while working within assigned budgets for each client engagement accordingly. 
Qualifications:
  • Candidates who possess or are actively seeking CPA, CIA, CAMS and/or CRCM certification will be given preference.
  • Minimum of 3 years in public accounting serving government or industry specific experience serving in an audit or regulatory compliance capacity.
  • Experience with SOX engagements is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
