About the Role:

The Structured Finance Paralegal is an integral part of Latham’s Legal Professional and Paralegal team. Sitting in the Structured Finance practice group, this role involves assisting partners, counsel and associates with structured finance and securitisation transactions, including but not limited to, drafting and reviewing transaction documents, ancillary documents, corporate resolutions, conditions precedents and legal opinions, fielding requests from clients and transaction parties, and supporting with the signing and closing process. This role will be located in our London office and  may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid office presence.

 



Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Proofreading and assisting with document preparation and drafting
  • Processing amendments to agreements and contracts
  • Maintaining files for various types of transactions and wider team projects
  • Assisting with transaction signing and closings
  • Requesting and reviewing searches for legal opinions
  • Assembling and distributing post-closing documentation
  • Preparing government filings

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Possess excellent organisational and project management skills (including ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously)
  • Have high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrate an excellent ability to multitask
  • Are motivated to learn and apply new skills
  • Have strong IT skills: MS word, Excel, PDF, email and use of online resources

And have:

  • A Law undergraduate degree (or non-law undergraduate degree plus GDL) and the LPC
  • Structured finance paralegal experience from a Global Law Firm
  • The commitment to join, integrate and work closely with the core team
