- Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching.
- Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families
- Provide model teaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
- Provide ongoing support and training to direct support professionals, teachers, and other individuals in support roles for students and families.
- Conduct evaluations (behavioral rating scales, inventories, interviews, classroom observations, etc.) and interpret data (from functional behavior assessments, rating scales, etc.) to benefit all students including students with disabilities and behavioral concerns.
- Work directly with students with mild/moderate disabilities, students with significant disabilities, students on the autism spectrum, and students with behavior, mental, and social needs.
- Is prepared and participates in individual or group settings, interventions, collaboration and other means, specific to social/emotional learning, behavior needs, and others as assigned or needed.
- Serve as a member of a IEP/Multidisciplinary Team to provide input on need and eligibility for special education services, IEP development, and Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Work directly with special education support personnel and direct instructional personnel to plan the proper instruction and placement of students.
- Obtain, integrate, and interpret information about student behavior and conditions relating to learning.
- Provide professional development, training, and consultation for faculty and staff on evidence based practices regarding behavioral supports and interventions for students.
- Provide updates, training and ongoing consultation for building administrators regarding best practices in ongoing behavioral supports.
- Coordinate with outside agencies and services when necessary.
- Consult with teachers and administrators regarding appropriate academic and behavioral interventions.
- Consult with parents regarding individual student needs.
- Consult with school-based counselors, especially in the area of response to behavioral concerns and students in crisis, as well as academic interventions.
- Ongoing training and supervision of paraprofessional staff in implementation of ABA principles and methodology and behavior reduction strategies.
- Analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming.
- Develop behavior plans/treatment plans with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behavior(s).
- Meet as needed with supervised staff to discuss ongoing issues and to provide support when necessary.
- Review and sign off on behavior plan/treatment plan training for all staff and provide supervision when necessary.
- Provide consultation services and to maintain ongoing communication with all constituents (other supports, parents, community, and community agencies).
- Keep current with the literature, new research findings and resources. In addition, continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary (32 credits every 2 years).

- Monitors the maintenance of timely and accurate student records, assessments, and reports and takes measures to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains accurate and timely monitoring and data tracking of special education rosters and student tracking systems for compliance within Iron County School District Student Data Collection Procedures
- Maintains regular in-person, on-site visits with regard to meetings, collaboration, and fulfilling other assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Will prioritize on-site visibility and availability to school staff and others as necessary.
- Maintains responsive lines of communication among students, parents, and staff involved with all special education and behavioral programs.
- Attends professional seminars, conferences, district meetings, and workshops as required by the position and with administrative consent.
- Must have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google docs and check email frequently. Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.

The Iron County School District is seeking a Full Time Board Certified Behavior Analyst for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst is under the direction of the Director of Special Programs, the BCBA will provide support to educators, students and families in Iron County School District by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, function analyses and assessment, behavior intervention plans, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, Safety Care, and adaptive life skills. A BCBA will also oversee training and provide ongoing support and supervision to Behavior Coaches throughout the district as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with Behavior Support Plans.
