About the Role:

The States of Guernsey are seeking to appoint a Teacher of A Level Business Studies & Economics at The Sixth Form Centre, Guernsey.

 

The person appointed will be a suitably qualified, experienced and committed graduate teacher, looking to make a significant contribution as part of the new model for secondary and post-16 education. The successful candidate will possess proven skills in teaching, have the ability to analyse and evaluate evidence, and formulate solutions and ideas effectively. They will be a creative and dynamic teacher, a strong communicator and have the ability to inspire trust and confidence across the whole Sixth Form Centre community. As a team member the person appointed will be cooperative and constructive, have patience, tact and discretion, a commitment to equality of opportunity and will value diversity.

 

This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme. 

  

For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we also offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island. This relocation package offers different solutions depending on an individual’s circumstances.

This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (see details below). This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector.
