POSITION: Packer REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
The Packer will prepare packing for use with the product. They will verify that the correct product and packing are being used. They place the product into the packaging material.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare packaging for use with the product to be produced
- Verify that the proper product has been produced;
- Verify that the label of the product is appropriate for the product produced;
- Verify that appropriate code date is on product;
- Verify the quality of the finished product and cleanliness of the container;
- Put product in packing container as specified;
- Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
• Lifting at least 25 lbs. on a repeated basis.
• Mobility as necessary to place product in and to rectify any problems which may occur during the production.
• Standing for up to three hours without a break
• Perform functions in accordance with HACCP and GMP requirements.
• Assist in assuring that all products on the line are produced and packed in accordance with specifications.
