Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Digital Engineering Initiatives Lead (Director) to drive transformation within our Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Center. This role will be responsible for advancing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering (DE) capabilities across both proposal and program execution environment, ensuring alignment with evolving Department of War (DoW) requirements. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional leadership teams and lead both strategic and tactical digitally-enabled transformation where programs execute using standard work and standard environment, engineering teams consume and contribute data seamlessly, and decision-makers have real time insight into system maturity, compliance, cost and risk. The selected individual will own the DE SE&TC Improvement Target and report status on a monthly cadence to SE&TC Engineering Leadership. The role will also include engagement in other initiatives across SE&TC and in support of annual improvement targets, as well as developing DE/MBSE staff competency and training roadmap.
This fulltime, onsite role can be based in any of the following Raytheon locations: Tucson, McKinney, Woburn, Marlborough, or Tewksbury
What You Will Do
- Lead deployment of Digital Engineering Strategy and Execution, including alignment of engineering practices with DoW and customer specific digital requirements.
- Support both capture/proposal activities and program execution with Integrated Digital Solutions
- Define, implement, and govern standardized digital engineering workflows, processes, program startup capabilities and enablers, including standard deployment strategies across Closed Spaces
- Define and track key performance indicators and measure productivity based on standard deployments aimed at program standardization
- Work across Engineering, SBU and cross-functional leadership and execution teams aimed at standardization of digital processes and technologies
- Work with SE&TC Center Leadership to mature model-based training and execution on programs, including new emerging requirements such as SysMLv2 and AI for MBSE
- Periodic reporting of status for SE&TC and other DE initiatives status, including accomplishments, measurable improvements, and learnings from the pilot programs to the Engineering Leadership Team
- Travel is expected to provide onsite support for programs and proposals as necessary (Anticipated travel 20%)
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with applying and scaling MBSE/DE on programs
- Experience with project and/or program management and technical execution .
- Experience leading multi-disciplined efforts
- Experience developing proposals/bids and/or writing technical volume, including generation of cost/technical Basis of Estimates
Qualifications We Prefer
- Commanding knowledge of DE and MBSE customer directives, especially applied experience operating in operational deployment of key digital capabilities
- Experience leading large initiatives with impact spanning multiple programs.
- Strong executive presence including excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Experience in financial planning and budgeting, as well as experience assessing and managing risk
- Able to network/influence both internal and externally to Engineering
- Past management experience working with all levels of management including an engineering leadership team, business area managers/executives within the corporation

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
