We are looking for a fixed-term Project Services Coordinator to join our National Project Services team, covering for a 12-month period of maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your experience in a top tier legal firm and work on some of New Zealand's largest commercial deals and litigation projects that are helping to define New Zealand's future.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a legal background and a passion for legal technology. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of document management - from electronic discovery (eDiscovery) and virtual data rooms to trial preparation.
The role will include:
- Guiding litigation teams through the discovery process, from initial disclosure to trial
- Processing native data sets and code document information using specialised litigation support tools
- Preparing electronic bundles and briefing packs in strict accordance with High Court rules
- Maintaining accurate physical and electronic file inventories, monitoring the location and identity of all project files
- Administering eDiscovery databases and Microsoft 365 SharePoint sites
- Compiling electronic and hard-copy casebooks, agreed bundles and affidavits
- Assisting with on-site trial set-up
Skills and experience you will bring:
- Ideally a tertiary qualification in Law or IT, or previous experience in the legal industry
- Strong admin support skills and experience within a corporate or professional services environment
- An understanding of relational databases with the ability to upload and manipulate data (or a strong willingness to learn).
- MS Office 365 exposure and ability to adapt to new technology with ease
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- An enthusiastic team player with initiative and curiosity
- Keen interest in legal technology
