Job Description

James River Home Health is a rapidly growing, locally owned company seeking a compassionate PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team in the West of Richmond territory. This role provides skilled occupational therapy services to patients in their homes on an intermittent basis, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, with a strong focus on quality patient care.

Brief overview of Responsibilities: 

  • Assists the physician in evaluating patient function through ongoing assessments, including OASIS. Evaluates the patient’s home environment and caregiver support needs, and helps identify required services. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and physician to develop and implement the plan of care, including OT services. Educates and supervises patients and families on the OT program. Coordinates visit schedules with the Director of Therapy, completes visit documentation within 24 hours, and performs other assigned duties.

Qualifications: 

  • Must be a graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy school
  • Must be licensed in Virginia
  • Must have at least one year of institutional experience
