Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist will process weekly payroll, gather data, calculate charges and fees, create invoices for billing purposes and assist in contacting delinquent accounts for past-due freight invoices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system.
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Communicate with drivers and operations to secure necessary paperwork and information in order to invoice customers properly.
- Cross training on daily deposit, AR aging, and various driver payrolls.
- Respond to customer requests for supporting documentation such as invoices, bill of ladings, and proof of deliveries.
- Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices.
- Accurately prepares, post, verifies, and records customer payments.
- Work with the operations team to resolve billing questions.
- Contact accounts to request payment for past-due freight invoices.
- Manage the group email account.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

• Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
