Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sr. Purchasing Specialist reports to and assists the Purchasing Manager in managing the procurement of $ 70 Million of indirect goods and services for Zwilling. This role ensures that these purchases are competitively bid, cost-effective, timely, and result in supply agreements and contracts which substantially enhance the company’s financial result and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals to reduce costs and minimize supply risk. 
  • Reduce maverick buying and help create a Best Practice Purchase to Pay Process
  • Source materials and services. Assign suppliers, negotiate terms, and evaluate competitive bids through cost analysis and TCO evaluation
  • Manage procurement budgets, and create and track savings results vs target KPIs
  • Create purchase orders and negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Align with global purchasing and finance to challenge existing indirect purchasing patterns and proactively seek opportunities to reduce costs from key suppliers while maintaining or improving quality and service levels.
  • Ensure purchasing compliance with company policies and legal regulations 
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce supply risk
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reports 

Compensation Range: Base Salary of $77,000.00- $90,000.00 contingent upon experience + Bonus Potential

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 
  • Minimum 3 years’ procurement experience
  • Strong critical thinking, business process, and communication skills 
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities 
  • Proven competence in procurement software and Microsoft Office 
  • Experience negotiating contracts and supply agreements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as CPSM or CPP
  • Proficient in SAP Materials Management
  • Background in consumer products import and distribution
