Job Description

The Director of Digital Product & Delivery Lead is the strategic and operational bridge between clients, account teams, and delivery teams. The person in this role helps define what should be built, why it matters, and how to shape the smartest path to delivery, including identifying value-added options beyond the obvious solution. They will lead a team and bring a modern, flexible product mindset to an agency environment where priorities move quickly and technical solutions often extend beyond standard martech platforms.

This person should act as a trusted guide who helps clients and account teams make strong decisions about scope, sequencing, tradeoffs, and opportunity areas. They should have an ability to simplify complexity and create confidence in fast-moving environments, and be comfortable balancing strategy, business analysis, and production leadership while keeping the team focused on outcomes, quality, and speed.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic lead for discovery, framing, and solution definition across digital and technology-enabled work.
  • Partner with clients and account teams to determine the right approach, not just the fastest or most obvious one.
  • Translate business goals into actionable plans, requirements, user stories, workflows, and delivery priorities.
  • Evaluate options and recommend solutions that include operational, creative, technical, and value-add considerations.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of digital initiatives that may include custom builds, integrations, platforms, and experiences beyond standard martech tools.
  • Manage and mentor a 4-person team, setting expectations, priorities, and standards for delivery.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through scoping, estimation, sequencing, and execution.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early, and help teams and clients make informed decisions.
  • Ensure deliverables are aligned to business outcomes, user needs, and agency quality standards.
  • Support client presentations, internal alignment, and senior-level recommendations.
  • Build a culture of modern product thinking, accountability, and confidence in ambiguity.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clients see this person as a strategic advisor, not just a coordinator.
  • Account teams rely on them to shape smarter recommendations and stronger scopes.
  • The team is organized, responsive, and able to adapt quickly without losing clarity.
  • The agency consistently identifies better ways to deliver value, not just complete tasks.

 Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product ownership, business analysis, digital production, delivery strategy, or related agency roles.
  • Experience in a marketing, digital, creative, or technology-forward agency environment.
  • Strong background in digital strategy, requirements definition, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience working with account, strategy, creative, UX, development, and analytics teams.
  • Experience working in custom digital solutions, with integrations, complex websites, and martech and CMS platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client conversations and influence decision-making.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a small team.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, modern product practices, and adaptive delivery approaches.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Technology Experience

Preferred experience with enterprise CMS, martech, commerce, collaboration, analytics, and AI-enabled workflow platforms.

  • CMS: WordPress, Contentful, Sitecore, Drupal.
  • Martech: HubSpot, Marketo, Klaviyo, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot)
  • Commerce: Shopify, commercetools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Delivery: Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, Asana.
  • Data/insights: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar.
  • AI: Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot, Firefly.
