Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a casual House Supervisor Registered Nurse (0.0 FTE) to join the nursing team.  The House Supervisor RN works under the direction of a licensed physician or nurse practitioner and is responsible for oversight of hospital staff, patient care, employees, and the facility.  Duties when working as House Supervisor include directing and conducting administrative functions in the absence of department manager. All of this is done to support the organization’s mission while living our values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing – Associates Degree in Nursing, diploma from hospital based school, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • 1+ years’ experience as an Emergency Department RN
  • Wisconsin RN license
  • CPR certification for adults and pediatrics
  • ACLS certification (within 3 months of hire)
  • PALs or ENPC (within 3 months of hire)
  • TNCC (within 6 months of hire)
  • NRP (within 3 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ related experience in a hospital setting

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to plan, direct, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a variety of patients
  • Provide crucial conversations and feedback to staff based on performance
  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, continuous improvement, and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Ability to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of services
  • Clearly and effectively convey information to patients
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment 

Work schedule:

  • 16 hours in a 6-week block
