Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver orders accurately and safely to customers at assigned store locations via assigned delivery vehicle, and return safely to warehouse facility.
• Required to load and unload all product for assigned vehicle.
• Handle and/or report customer problems to the Store or Warehouse Manager.
• Must report to work in a continuous timely manner.
• Provide basic vehicle care and maintenance.
• Maintain time and mileage logs.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record which meets underwriting standards 2
• Responsible for meeting all criteria and policies as set forth in the Company Employee Handbook, Driver’s Handbook, and Fleet Safety Policy.
• Must report to work in a continuous timely manner.
• Assist in special projects as requested.

Requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Keep vehicle clean and check fluids regularly.
• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop.
• May be required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration. Noise level may be moderate to heavy.
• Must have considerable mobility, and able to stand and/or sit for long durations of time. 

Summary

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts
• Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report, (MVR), must be obtained by applicant and submitted for approval prior to hire date.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include an assortment of days, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
