General Studies Assistant Elementary School Classroom Teacher

The North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) is a co-educational Modern Orthodox Yeshiva that inspires students to become passionate learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and dedicated community members.

We are seeking a caring, experienced and dynamic assistant teacher to join our Elementary General Studies team. Assistant teachers are responsible for supporting the students in their class by helping students to develop social and emotional competencies, supporting students in the classroom, supervising students during lunch and recess, and collaborating with their colleagues. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate currently pursuing an education degree as the position provides excellent hands-on classroom experience and the opportunity to be mentored as well.

Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• A college degree

• A teaching philosophy that focuses on growth in academic, social and emotional domains

• A collaborative, teamwork-oriented approach and growth-mindset

• Excellent verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $30,000-35,000
