Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
- Open containers using steel cutters, crowbars, claw hammers, or other hand tools.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Convey materials to and from storage or work sites using hand trucks, electric dollies, wheelbarrows, or other material-handling devices.
- Secure lifting attachments to materials and move loads using hand-operated cranes or hoists.
- Perform additional related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or related environment preferred.
- Skills:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Ability to operate and read a scanner.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic shop math skills.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and material-handling equipment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- The employee is frequently required to stand for an extended period of time.
- Walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
