Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing team(s), ensuring that product, process and personnel problems are dealt with appropriately and in a timely fashion.
  • Analyzing and enhancing operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity through Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Work with other team members and management to accomplish corporate goals of: Safety, Quality, On Time Delivery, Lead Time, and Profitability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify root cause and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Hiring, training, mentoring, and supervising employees to maintain high morale and productivity.
  • Maintain conformance with ISO and NUPIC procedures. Maintain all training records for personnel.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, promoting a "zero-incident" workplace culture.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in a manufacturing/fabrication business

Competencies:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, bilingual a plus (Spanish)
  • Ability to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate adequate job knowledge to deliver world-class performance
  • Ability to challenge oneself to consistently meet all goals and deadlines
  • Willingness to strive for excellence by producing work that is free of errors and mistakes
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standard practices
  • Knowledge of efficiency frameworks such as Daily Visual Management, Kaizen
  • Experience in root cause analysis, corrective action implementation
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Computer literate, experience with ERP systems
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional organizational skills

Travel:

  • Minimal travel as required (10%)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in a production environment.  The employee is regularly exposed to a hot manufacturing environment and near moving mechanical parts.  The mandatory use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, safety toe shoes) is required in designated areas.

Employee may have to respond to issues at any time and must be able to work extended hours.

Pay range and compensation package:

$130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
