Knowledge
- Principals and methods for curriculum and training design and instruction for individuals and groups, and measurement of training effects.
- Current educational theory and instruction techniques while presenting subject matter to students.
- Human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability; personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, certified in the teaching area.
- Valid Mississippi Teaching Certificate endorsed in the area being taught.
- Ability to read and interpret educational materials.
- Must posses strong written and oral communications and relational skills.
- Be Social perceptive and be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Utilize smart boards, projectors and other instructional technology provided by the district.
- Operate varius office equiptment, including computer, printer, calculator and copier.

- Identfy needs and abilities of individual students and to adapt instructional methods accordingly
- Teacher life skills that they won't necessarily learn in other areas of school.
- Mediate with students.
- Participate in in professional developememt activities.
- Communicate regulary with parents regarding progress and other educational concerns.
- Expose student to new areas of interest.
