Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Psychologists to join the Hume Community Mental Health Team in a Grade 4 role.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
The Hume Community Team is a large, supportive and dynamic team made up of staff that are truly passionate and motivated in supporting consumers and their families/carers.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist mental health services to consumers with complex mental health presentations.
The Senior Clinical Psychologist provides leadership in the enhancement of psychotherapeutic practice within the team and supports implementation of psychology specific practice with the team.
This position involves provision of direct clinical work alongside provision of clinical supervision to psychologists and psychology registrars.
The Senior Clinical Psychologist is a member of the therapy stream within the clinic and works closely with the therapy stream lead.
This position may require work within the community team alongside the wider Northern Health Mental Health Division.

Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.
Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.
We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Registration under the AHPRA and with the Psychology Board of Australia. General registration with a clinical psychology practice endorsement.
At least 10 years' experience post qualification
Registered as a board approved supervisor
Demonstrated experience in the provision of therapeutic interventions including group work with mentally ill people, their families and carers in a community setting.
Proven Leadership skills
