The Danvers facility is a cornerstone of Medtronic’s Cardiovascular and Neuroscience businesses, supporting 11 of the 16 Operating Units in Medtronic. Danvers is also a vertically integrated supplier to many of the Medtronic facilities around the world. As the Senior Lean Sigma Manager you will be responsible for the planning and execution of strategic Lean Sigma improvement projects.

In person collaboration is essential to our work. We operate onsite five days a week to foster professional growth, strengthen cross functional partnerships, and accelerate our ability to engineer the extraordinary.

         

         

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops, implements and sustains process improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Defines, designs and implements continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across the organization.
  • Defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies.
  • Analyzes improvement programs and potential results.
  • Facilitates and coaches improvement teams.
  • Establishes and maintains performance metrics to measure program success.
  • Installs process excellence supports for program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications and rewards.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in Business Operations, Plant Manufacturing, and/or Engineering OR advanced degree and 5+ years relevant of experience
  • Certified: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in holistic operational excellence structures (TPM, BPM, DBS, TPS, etc.) and the associated tools/techniques.
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
  • Experience building strategic roadmaps.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Solid change management, coaching, and mentoring experience.
  • Project management skills with good time management, client relationship management, conflict resolution, training facilitation, and administrative skills.
  • Experience with establishing Voice of Operations/Voice of Customer in the PDP process.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in integrating a Quality and continuous improvement culture change.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$138,400.00 - $207,600.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
