Position Summary
The Commercial Post Closing Review Collateral Specialist is responsible for perfecting liens on various collateral types and effectively managing collateral covenants through timely resolution of all exception items assigned to the Commercial Post Closing Department.Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure perfection of all recordable collateral documentation and record liens on varying collateral types
- Manage and continue liens throughout the life of the loan
- Generate and monitor weekly reports to identify upcoming collateral covenants
- Communicate with Title Companies and Third-Party Companies to resolve outstanding collateral covenants
- Responsible for reviewing incoming trailing documents for accuracy and completeness
- Removal and/or updating of collateral covenants accurately and timely on banks proprietary tracking system
- Collaboration with Relationship Managers, Loan Coordinators, and Third Parties of any discrepancies that need to be addressed
- Ongoing monitoring and management of loan collateral and security interest, including Life insurance, Brokerage Accounts, and UCC filings
- Corresponding with insurance companies and brokerage companies to ensure that assignments of life insurance and brokerage accounts are acknowledged by the agency
- eRecording mortgages and deed of trust to the proper jurisdiction
- Assist Relationship Managers and Loan Coordinators with retrieving documentation from the imaging system or the collateral files
- Back up to Commercial Loan File Review Specialist
- Responsible for on-going knowledge of bank regulations related to compliance for commercial loans
- Assists in special projects and other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Knowledge of:
- Various lending regulations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Manage multiple deadlines
- Analyze and solve problems for which there are not precedents
- Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures
Education and Training:
- Requires High School diploma; continuing education preferred.
- Previous experience in commercial collateral/liens or documentation preferred.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Adobe. Other bank proprietary systems helpful.
