Elementary Classroom Teacher (Grade 6 - Math or Science)

Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through standards-based instruction, the implementation of district adopted curriculum, use of formative assessment to gather evidence of student learning, and by providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student learning. 

Candidate must be student-centered with a growth mind set as we all work collaboratively to improve student learning outcomes. Individual must encourage higher level, independent thinking and opportunities to work collaboratively within the classroom. Furthermore, the teacher must build an inclusive classroom community and commit to culturally responsive practices, data analysis and excellent classroom management.

Qualifications/Job Description:

• Current Indiana State Teaching License
• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
• Individual must have excellent organizational and communication skills
• Collaborate with Professional Learning Community to analyze data to guide instructional decisions
• Remain current in the latest educational research
• Perform other related duties as assigned
