Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance of all surveillance equipment and alarm systems and will maintain an inventory of equipment and be liaison with equipment suppliers for purchases, repairs and obtaining bids.
- The surveillance technician may perform other duties as assigned and will be required to complete all training requirements for the position of surveillance operator
- Responsible for seeing that the rules and regulations as set forth by Gaming Board regarding the operation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Surveillance Systems are adhered to.
- Responsible for seeing that the guidelines set forth by the company are adhered to.
- By way of the CCTV system, Surveillance Operators maintain constant camera patrol of the casino and covertly observe, interpret and report on all activities on the casino floor in support areas including but not necessarily limited to: all table games and pits cashier’s cage, count room and the exterior perimeter of the property.
- Monitoring will be done to identifying the following: (1) Cheating or stealing by player and employee, acting alone or in concert with one another (2) Failure of employees to follow proper procedures (3) The treatment of drop boxes, cash storage boxes and other gaming equipment (eg. Card, dice, dealing shoes, etc.) (4) Treatment of ill, drunk or disorderly persons evicted and detained or arrested persons and suspected casino cheats (5) all movement of cash or chips on the premises.
- Will take the responsibility for the directing operation in the monitor room in any given situation in the absence of supervision but, must notify management in a timely fashion
- The Surveillance Technician will be required to assist in the covering of an assigned Surveillance Shift as the need arises.
- Will develop a broad working knowledge of the company’s accounting and internal controls and rules governing the conduct of all table games, slots and cage operations as well as all other operations within the casino
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications
- High School or Equivalency
- Technical training in CCTV systems
- Minimum of 1 year of casino surveillance
- MS Office Proficiency / Computer skills
- Fluent English written and spoken
- Valid Gaming Board License
- Skilled in at least 1 casino table games
- High morals and with a confidential personality
