Position Overview
The Superintendent/Project Manager is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and managing projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in overseeing multiple projects while maintaining clear, professional communication with clients and field teams. This role requires balancing estimating responsibilities with hands-on project management to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Review plans and submit bids within required timelines
- Track bid activity and maintain detailed daily project logs
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate with field teams and provide ongoing support
- Conduct field audits to ensure quality and compliance
- Monitor costs and assist with budget control
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and needs to leadership
- Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating or project management
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and work orders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing construction projects in civil, trenchless, or underground utility work
- Familiarity with cost tracking, budget management, and field documentation systems
Work Environment
- Field-based role with regular site visits
- Exposure to construction environments, equipment, and variable weather conditions
- Occasional physical activity, including walking job sites, climbing, and carrying materials
