About the Department
Please Note: Extra-Help employees are not entitled to County benefits and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week.
This position will be assigned to work with Department of Workforce Investment.
Duties may include, but not limited to the following:
The Extra Help Student Intern will provide general assistance while gaining valuable work experience. Assignments will vary depending on the needs of the Department.
- Performs diversified clerical duties as assigned.
- May assist in completing various departmental projects/ reports.
- Prepare information and research materials.
- Shadow multiple office positions and train on a variety of tasks.
- Assists with operational and administrative functions.
Student Intern Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in project or grant management.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring.
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
- General Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to perform job assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Must be able to adjust to unexpected changes in work demand to meet deadlines.
- Ability to take on tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Desire to learn and professionally grow.
- Ability to embrace and live the County’s Core Integrity.
