We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused individual to join our team in Lebanon, TN, and act as the crucial link between our customers, sales team, production, and logistics.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Customer Service Representative to expertly manage the full customer order cycle, from initial quotation through to final delivery. This vital on-site role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure seamless communication and efficient order fulfillment, upholding Steves & Sons' commitment to exceptional customer service and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Management: Accurately process and enter customer orders into our management system, review details (pricing, quantities, specs), and provide timely confirmations and updates.
  • Customer Communication: Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries, emails, and quote requests, building strong relationships through consistent, clear communication.
  • Sales Support: Assist sales managers with account setup, pricing management, and maintain customer profiles, supporting special pricing, contracts, and specific requirements.
  • Production & Logistics Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Master Scheduler, Quality, and Shipping departments to align production schedules, release production orders, coordinate shipping with carriers (e.g., JB Hunt), and track shipments for on-time delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary communication link between sales, production, quality, and logistics teams to efficiently resolve order issues, discrepancies, or customer concerns.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service, order management, or a similar role within a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional phone and email manner.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple departments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with order management systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving and a commitment to meeting customer expectations.
