Pinchin is seeking a Field Technician to join our Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation team in Sudbury and/or Timmins. The role reports to the respective office Team Leader.
Department Overview
The Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation team helps clients identify, assess, and manage environmental risks associated with land and property. The team conducts field investigations, monitoring, and remediation to support regulatory compliance and responsible development. Field Technicians work alongside experienced environmental professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to real-world projects that protect communities and the environment.
Your Role and Action
- Conduct ground and surface water monitoring and sampling
- Conduct soil sampling
- Assist in oversight of Utility Locates
- Assist in supervising drilling and monitoring well installations
- Compile and summarize data
- Maintain and enhance quality control within the group
What You’ll Bring to Pinchin
- Pursuing a degree/diploma in either environmental science, environmental engineering, or water resources engineering (asset, not mandatory)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook is required
- Relevant work experience will be considered an asset
- Strong ethical principles
- High attention to detail
- Current and valid driver’s license with sufficient insurance
Compensation and Assessment
Pay ranges are listed as required by law. Final compensation reflects each candidate’s education, experience, qualifications, and work location.

- Depending on the assignment, clients may require Government security screening, criminal record verification, or periodic drug and alcohol testing. Depending on the requirements of the position, preference may be given to candidates who are able to efficiently qualify for Government security clearances.
