Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
5 years of experience in management of project management, planning and analysis, service management, and software development cycles (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent) Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Must have five (5) years supervisory/managerial experience. Project leader or lead worker experience may substitute for supervisory/managerial experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Cert Agile Practitioner (ACP)
Cert Scrum Master (CSM)
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience leading one or more teams of engineering professionals within a transportation domain, with a demonstrated ability to guide complex technical work in support of transportation programs and initiatives. Strong preference for candidates with proven experience leading land surveying and geospatial professionals—including coordination of surveying, mapping, GIS, or geospatial engineering functions—in a transportation environment. Candidates should also possess extensive experience partnering directly with transportation professionals as customers, translating operational needs into effective technical solutions, and collaboratively resolving complex engineering and technology challenges in support of infrastructure planning, design, delivery, and operations.
Competencies:
Extensive competencies with industry‑standard transportation engineering and delivery platforms, including Bentley Systems solutions and Trimble systems, supporting design, surveying, construction, and asset workflows. Strong experience with ServiceNow for IT service management, workflow automation, and operational support. Broad knowledge of transportation‑specific software and hardware used across planning, design, construction, and operations environments. Demonstrated expertise in transportation business processes, including digital delivery practices, integration of engineering and geospatial data, and the alignment of technology solutions to support efficient, data‑driven project delivery.
