Course number and title: URD1031HF- The History of Urban Form
Course description: This course will present a history of the development of the urban form of the city, with a focus on Toronto. Coursework will integrate global cities as a comparative model through urban form. Students will explore the distinctive topography of the city; the early patterns of its settlement, and the evolution over time of its successive infrastructures in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of urban form.

Minimum Qualifications:
MArch, MUD, or MLA degree, and/or MA in History or English with demonstrated experience in urban design scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven record in publishing, writing, and/or research on Urban Design and/or Urbanism.
Duties:
Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
