Job Description
ATS Welding is rapidly expanding into a full-service industrial construction and welding company with a commitment to safety and quality. We specialize in delivering high-quality projects across the industrial and energy sectors.

We are currently seeking a versatile mechanic to support our crews in maintaining and repairing our fleet and equipment in the field and from the office. If you’re hardworking, safety-conscious, and ready to play a key role in our growth, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery, vehicles, and construction equipment, perform routine servicing tasks, and identify and repair wear and tear to avoid equipment failure.
• Diagnose mechanical problems with equipment, engines, hydraulics, or other systems, repair broken or faulty components, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Assist with assembling and disassembling large equipment, install new machinery and equipment, and set up equipment following safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for all equipment, track maintenance schedules and document parts inventory reporting any shortages.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, conduct regular safety checks on equipment, and report any potential safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in training operators on the proper use and basic maintenance of equipment and provide guidance on troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.

What We Look For
• 2+ years of experience as, at minimum, an apprentice or junior mechanic working with construction equipment required.
• A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and find effective solutions quickly to minimize downtime.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to understand equipment specifications and repair procedures.
• Ability to perform thorough inspections and ensure repairs are completed to safety standards.
• Capability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
• Understanding of workplace safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
