    Primary Purpose:

     

    Field Observations: Students attending college to become a certified teacher are required to obtain Field Observation hours in a classroom with a certified teacher. 

    Student Teaching:  Some programs require participants to become a student teacher for a period of time to pursue a teaching certification. 

     

    Requirements:

     
    Field Observations: 
     
    • Must be currently enrolled in a teacher education course at a college/university or enrolled in a teacher certification program.

    • Provide a letter, on college/university or alternative teaching certification program letterhead, that states your name and indicates the necessity for observation hours. - PLEASE ATTACH TO THE APPLICATION

    • Indicate which campus you would like visit during your observation time.
       

    Student Teaching:
    • Must be currently enrolled in a teacher education course at a college/university or enrolled in a teacher certification program.

    • Your university or college must contact Barbara Gibbs at [email protected] to request a student teaching position prior to approval.

     



    Once approved, you will receive an email notifying you that you are approved for Field Observation or Student Teaching.  The campus will be notified as well.

     

    Note:  This is for observation hours or student teaching only and is not a paid position.
