
Software Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Information Services Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and DevOps teams to design, develop, deploy, and support applications and integrations that enable secure, reliable data flow and automation across the organization.
This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working with modern cloud technologies, building scalable solutions, and supporting mission‑critical systems in a collaborative, Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and system integrations
- Build and support APIs, middleware, and event‑driven integrations
- Develop and support internal and public‑facing web applications
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, and vendor partners
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Ensure applications meet security, data protection, and compliance standards
- Estimate, plan, and execute assigned work within the application lifecycle, maintaining transparency in the backlog and working to meet committed deliverables and project milestones.

What You Need:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Experience: 3+ years of hands‑on experience with C#, the .NET ecosystems, Azure cloud services, particularly PaaS components (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, etc.)
Technical Strengths & Skills:
- Experience building APIs, microservices, and event‑driven architectures
- Experience building and supporting internal and public facing web applications
- Working knowledge of processes and tools that support the Application Lifecycle including Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, etc.)
- Strong debugging skills and experience supporting production environments
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar data‑processing technologies

Candidates must reside in Missouri to be considered for this position.
Preferred office location is Jefferson City, MO. All other Missouri FCS Financial Branch Locations will be considered.
This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Hybrid work environment and flexible work schedule will be considered based off the candidates' qualifications and needs.
