BHN is currently seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to join our youth and family programs in the greater Springfield area, helping children build skills and achieve stability in the community.

Pay: $21.50 - $24 per hour
What You’ll Do
As a Therapeutic Mentor, you’ll provide structured one-on-one support to children and adolescents, reinforcing treatment goals and helping them achieve success at home, in school, and in the community.
Work individually with youth to teach and model social, coping, and problem-solving skills
Provide coaching and guidance to encourage positive behavior change and personal growth
Collaborate with clinicians, caregivers, schools, and community partners as part of a team-based care model
Support youth in developing independent living skills and self-confidence
Help families navigate behavioral health systems and access resources
Document services and progress in a clear and timely manner
Participate in supervision, treatment planning, and ongoing training
Who You Are
High School Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree required
At least 2 years of experience working with children required; experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferred
Knowledge of behavioral health, coping strategies, and child/adolescent development
Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills
Familiarity with community resources and child-serving systems
Interest in helping others and ability to create strategies that support goal achievement
Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Comfortable with word processing, email, and documentation systems
