Job Description

Job Overview

 

  • Observes and inspects ongoing construction work.
  • Reviews plans and specifications to ensure that work is in compliance with same. Inspects barricades to ensure compliance with barricade standards.
  • Reports work progress and discusses construction related problems with supervisor.
  • Prepare Daily Work Reports in within client or Lamb-Star software.
  • Keep a daily diary of work activities.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Ability to document work activities.
  • Ability to provide general office administration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing or orally.
  • Familiar with tablet computers, smart phones, and Microsoft office products. 

 

Requirements:

 

  • 0 - 2 years’ construction or construction inspection experience, to include roadway (earthwork, base, concrete and asphalt pavement, drainage, lighting, guardrail and striping for rehabilitation/new) and/or bridge (drilled shafts, driven piles, reinforcing steel, structural concrete, and bridge decks) elements.
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's license and driving record in good standing.
  • Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, weekends, and potentially holidays. Eventually, out of town work may be required.
