Job Description

Job Summary

The Account Representative is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with current accounts, developing new business opportunities, and supporting the STAM team through customer service, sales enablement, and operational coordination. This role ensures customer needs are met, internal communication flows smoothly, and regional sales efforts are supported effectively.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management & Service

  • Services and maintains positive relationships with the current customer base.

  • Resolves customer problems in a timely and professional manner.

  • Conducts customer visitations and manages customer return claims and related issues.

  • Identifies customer needs and presents solutions by recommending product enhancements or modifications.

  • Supports customer service efforts and promotes travel avoidance when appropriate.

Sales Growth & Market Development

  • Generates new sales by promoting product lines to new and existing customers.

  • Monitors sales activity and market trends in assigned regions.

  • Supports Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) by eliminating administrative distractions and prioritizing high‑value sales opportunities.

  • Vets HubSpot leads before assignment to ensure high-quality follow-up.

  • Supports tracking progress toward quarterly goals.

  • Assists with Axiom conversions and related sales processes.

STAM Team & Operational Support

  • Performs inventory counts and assists with inventory‑related responsibilities.

  • Coordinates sampling processes and manages sample needs.

  • Supports quality control issue resolution with customers and internal teams.

  • Maintains communication with local plants to ensure alignment on customer needs and shipping priorities.

  • Assists in collecting Accounts Receivable until a dedicated AR team or specialist is in place.

Reporting & Administrative Duties

  • Prepares reports as required.

  • Supports local team utilization through communication, coordination, and administrative efficiency.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma; preferred bachelor’s degree.

  • One to three years of experience in the field or related area.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other business applications.

  • Preferred manufacturing background, but not required.

  • Preferred experience and knowledge of UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines.
