What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Respiratory Therapist at WakeMed, you’ll play a vital role in delivering top-tier respiratory care to patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors. You’ll work closely with physicians and the care team to:
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and advanced airway management
- Perform arterial punctures and blood gas analysis
- Conduct electrocardiograms and manage mechanical ventilation
- Evaluate therapy effectiveness and communicate with the healthcare team

Sign-On Bonus Options for External Candidates:

- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Certifications Required at Time of Hire:
- Basic Life Support (Adult & Neonatal/Peds)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Education:
Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required
Experience:
1 Year Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Preferred
