Job Description

Company Overview

Mobilelink is the nation’s largest authorized retailer for Cricket Wireless, operating over 450 stores across the United States. From its Texas roots, the company has expanded nationwide, including into rural communities, providing high-value wireless products and services.

Job Summary

The Construction Superintendent is a field-based, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities across multiple retail locations. This position ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Unlike a Project Manager who focuses on planning and administrative coordination, the Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader, managing daily field operations, subcontractors, and site logistics while reporting to the Project Manager or Construction Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct all on-site construction activities, including coordinating subcontractors, trades, and labor crews.
  • Lead daily site operations: conduct morning meetings/toolbox talks, assign tasks, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular site inspections, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and maintain a safe working environment (including accident prevention and reporting).
  • Perform quality control checks on workmanship, materials, and installations to ensure they meet specifications, blueprints, and building codes.
  • Manage site logistics: coordinate material deliveries, equipment usage, and site organization/cleanliness.
  • Resolve on-site issues, conflicts, or delays promptly (e.g., weather impacts, subcontractor performance, or unforeseen conditions).
  • Document daily activities, progress reports, photos, and logs; communicate updates to project management.
  • Train, mentor, and manage field personnel; address performance issues and promote teamwork.
  • Oversee site security, temporary facilities, and environmental compliance (e.g., erosion control, waste management).
