Our Fitness Center is a vibrant hub of health and wellness, and we are seeking a high-energy, engaging, and outgoing Water Aerobics Instructor to join our team for our upcoming Summer Season. The ideal candidate is confident, walk-in ready, and experienced in leading dynamic, water-based group exercise classes that cater to a variety of fitness levels.
This is a high-priority role with classes currently scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM. Additional teaching opportunities may be available for candidates who are certified to instruct other group fitness formats—please include those in your application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging water aerobics classes
- Provide modifications and progressions to accommodate all fitness levels
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants
- Arrive prepared and start classes on time
- Ensure proper use of equipment and pool safety protocols
- Build rapport with members and deliver excellent customer service

Requirements
- Group Exercise and/or Personal Training Certification (required)
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
- Teaching group fitness classes (preferred)
- Water aerobics or aquatic fitness (preferred)
- Customer service (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Arlington, VA prior to start (preferred)
- Availability to teach early morning classes
Work Environment
This position operates in a [indoor/outdoor] hospitality environment with varying levels of activity depending on the season. Flexibility with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
