Job Description

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and ASME standards for boiler operation, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure boiler room equipment meets industry standards.
  • Respond to alarms and emergency shutdowns, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the facility’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Process Optimization & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Monitor fuel consumption, steam usage, and efficiency metrics, recommending improvements when necessary.
  • Assist in energy conservation initiatives by optimizing boiler efficiency and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless steam supply for forging processes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or boiler operator certification preferred.
  • Previous experience operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers in an industrial or manufacturing setting (forging industry experience is a plus).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to boiler operation, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
