Job Purpose
The Studio Manager plays a key role in the operation of our FastCast studio in Versova, Mumbai, ensuring that our facilities operate at the highest standard of excellence. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our physical studio space, overseeing the setup for clients, and ensuring that all areas are prepared to meet the specific needs of the business. They will be handling the high-volume, daily foot traffic of aspiring actors, while maintaining a premium, dedicated B2B environment for our Enterprise clients. The Studio Manager will provide leadership and coordination to deliver an exceptional service experience for all clients and visitors, maintaining FastCast’s professional image as a premium hub for casting.
Job requirements
Proven experience in studio operations, facility management, or a similar role within the entertainment, media, or event industries.
Hands-on technical experience with operating cameras, lighting grids, sound recording equipment, and AV setups.
Proficiency in digital data management, including securely transferring, organising, and backing up large volumes of video files daily.
Ability to efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of a highly active, high foot-traffic studio environment.
Understanding of data privacy laws, secure file handling, and best practices for safeguarding sensitive media and talent information.
Willingness and ability to work a full-time, 6-days-a-week schedule on-site at the Versova studio.
A commitment to providing exceptional service and a positive experience for all visitors.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges.
Tech-savviness with booking systems, talent registration software, and other tech solutions.
Job responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of FastCast’s Versova studio facilities, ensuring that the space is fully functional, well-maintained and ready for use.
Manage the high-volume of daily talent walk-ins, coordinate the physical queues and oversee the registration process for talent.
Set up lighting, frame shots, and directly operate cameras and audio equipment to record high-quality introductory videos, audition tapes and other video productions.
Conduct routine technical maintenance, manage the inventory lifecycle, and proactively troubleshoot issues for all studio hardware, including cameras, lenses, microphones, and lighting grids.
Manage audition data by systematically uploading, tagging, categorizing, and securely storing digital video files onto the FastCast ecosystem.
Uphold strict data protection standards by establishing secure file-transfer protocols, ensuring all talent data privacy complies with company policies and local regulations.
Manage pre-bookings and setups, facilitate rentals to ensure FastCast remains a private, premium space for Enterprise clients and talent alike.
Act as the primary point of contact for studio clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues.
Regularly report to leadership on operational status, daily foot traffic, data upload volumes, and equipment health.
