Job Description

Property Damage Specialist II

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and be responsive to clients by acknowledging the damage event and performing initial remote and on-site assessments regarding the severity of the event.
  • Conduct remote or field research and a thorough investigation of the utility and communication damage.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients, contractors, and personnel through regular communication and virtual meetings.
  • Utilize knowledge of State One Call Laws and Statutes, excavator requirements, and NESC standards in investigation work.
  • Collect and process investigation materials using proprietary software.
  • Maintain active monitoring of assigned claims and ensure final reports are in accordance with the quality and time limits required for compliance purposes.
  • Assist Claims Recovery team with post-investigation tasks remotely.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the entire claims process and stay up to date on industry developments.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and current insurance (for on-site investigations)
  • Pass a complete background check and drug test.
  • Must have reliable transportation and smart phone capabilities to ensure claims dispatch or processing ability.
  • Ability to use locate equipment with training and solid understanding facility types and excavation equipment.
  • For field activity, you must be able to be outside for extended periods, and walk across a variety of terrains, including the ability to navigate uneven ground and construction areas.
