We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate individual who thrives in a dynamic youth-focused environment and is committed to helping young people grow academically, socially, and emotionally. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  •  Assist in planning and facilitation of activities for teen members. 
  • Deliver curriculum utilizing the BGCA resources. Guiding/helping the youth adjust and grow within the program guidelines. 
  • Offer support for homework help and academic success.   
  • Demonstrate willingness to participate in all areas of the Teen programs.
  • Plan and implement curriculum for members to follow.
  • Work closely with Teen Program Director to implement programming and support participants. 
  • Observe student behavior and assess appropriateness, enforce relevant safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Guide any member with behavior, attitude, or emotional problems to a healthy/productive conclusion. Refer any serious problems to the Teen Program Director.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of program area and equipment.

 WORK SCEHDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Schedule varies depending on programs and events. Occasional nights and weekends may be required but are scheduled well in advance.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • High School Education or GED is required. 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Current Adult, Child & Infant CPR/AED and first aid certification or be willing to become certified within 90 days of employment.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of relevant experience working with youth
