The After-School Elementary Assistant will provide support to the student communities, of children ages 6 to 12 years. Throughout the school year, the assistant will work with the after-school staff and Program Director to ensure that students have the necessary tools and time to devote themselves to their work, building a cohesive community and continuing to develop the love of learning. The Bothell campus is conveniently located off I-405 just north of State route 522. The Woodinville campus is conveniently located two blocks south of downtown Woodinville, off State route 202.
This part-time, academic year position starts August 2026, with the hours of Monday – Friday 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Bothell Campus.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students in classrooms, playgrounds, and Club House programs.
- Engage with children in ways that foster curiosity, independence, and respect.
- Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and maintaining a clean Montessori environment.
- Support students and help with transitions, arrivals, and dismissals.
- Prepare and serve snacks, including accommodating dietary needs.
- Model positive behavior and guide students in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support each child’s needs.
- Document attendance and incidents accurately.
What We’re Looking For:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass background checks and TB test.
- Experience working with children in a group setting (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to complete Montessori Assistant Training.

Salary & Benefits: Salary range is $23 - $26 per hour, dependent on education, training, and experience. Benefits include paid time off, 403b retirement plan, professional development allowance.

Summary
This part-time assistant position in Elementary after-school care (1st through 6th grade) works to provide an engaging, nurturing, prepared Montessori environment. This position’s responsibilities include providing support in supervising before and/or after school childcare, and camp days and other duties as listed. This individual is a detailed observer, creative thinker, and collaborative teammate with a strong interest in Montessori philosophy and has a love for learning and children.
