About the job

As an A2R Trainee – Bank & Payroll Accounting, you will support Opella’s global accounting operations by contributing to accurate financial closing, reporting, and compliance activities.
This role offers a strong foundation in general ledger, bank, and payroll accounting, while giving you exposure to global processes, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives within a shared services environment.

You will work closely with experienced finance professionals and technology teams, developing practical accounting skills while helping ensure reliable and compliant financial data.

Main responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in line with group timelines
• Assist with bank and payroll accounting, including reconciliations and transaction postings
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and support manual journal entries
• Help maintain accurate accounting master data and ensure data quality
• Support audits and internal controls by preparing documentation and analyses
• Contribute to process improvements, standardization initiatives, and system enhancements
• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and digital teams to ensure smooth operations

About you

• Background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (student or recent graduate)
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working with Excel and motivated to develop skills in ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
• Clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively in an international environment
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Curious, adaptable, and eager to grow in a fast-paced finance environment
