Position Summary
The Content Operations Specialist serves as a key operational leader within the Product & Technology team, responsible for the end-to-end publishing, organization, and presentation of content across all digital platforms. This role ensures that all content is accurately published and aligned with product strategy and ministry objectives.
Reporting to the Principal Product Manager, the Content Operations Manager works closely with product, design, engineering, and localization teams to deliver a seamless and engaging content experience across mobile, web, and connected TV platforms. This individual owns the systems and workflows that power content delivery, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, operationally excellent, and comfortable managing complex content pipelines. They bring strong judgment in content presentation and thrive in environments where precision, organization, and cross-functional collaboration are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Content Publishing & Management
- Oversee the end-to-end publishing process for all video content, including metadata, subtitles and audio tracks, thumbnails, and associated assets.
- Ensure content is accurate, complete, and published on schedule across all platforms.
- Maintain high standards for metadata quality, consistency, and completeness.
- Manage content updates, corrections, and re-publishing as needed.
Content Promotion
- Own the creation, organization, and ongoing management of content rails within the application.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to optimize content placement and discoverability.
- Ensure content presentation aligns with product strategy and user experience goals.
- Continuously refine placement and linking approaches based on performance insights and stakeholder input.
CMS Ownership & Workflow Optimization
- Serve as the primary owner of the content management system (CMS) and related tooling.
- Define and improve workflows for publishing, editing, and maintaining content.
- Establish validation rules, governance standards, and best practices within the CMS.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to enhance CMS capabilities and usability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with localization, QA, product, and engineering teams to ensure content readiness and quality.
- Communicate publishing timelines, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Support marketing and ministry teams with content-related initiatives and campaigns.
Content Lifecycle Management
- Manage content scheduling, including publish and unpublish timing.
- Maintain oversight of content versions, updates, and archival processes.
- Ensure compliance with content availability windows and organizational standards.

- Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing workflows.

- Ability to manage complex operational processes across multiple platforms.
- Experience working with mobile, web, and/or connected TV platforms preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in content operations, digital publishing, or related roles.
- Experience working in media, streaming, or content-driven platforms strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume content workflows with accuracy and efficiencyExperience in non-profit, faith-based, or mission-driven organizations a plus

- Working Conditions: Office setting with a forty-hour (+) workweek. This position preferably works out of our Colorado Springs headquarters - remote consideration.
- Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and use of standard office equipment. Ability to lift approximately 15-20 pounds. Ability to hear phone calls and clearly communicate verbally. Strong visual acuity to review complex interfaces, architecture diagrams, and code. Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and related tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under varying deadlines. Capacity to participate in video conferences and virtual collaboration sessions. Excellent concentration, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication abilities.
