About the Role:

The Coordinator, thrive* Program is responsible for the development, planning, promotion and implementation of a range of high quality and diverse activities covering active, creative, social, wellbeing and play pursuits for both the VU Staff and VU Students.

An example of some of the Key Responsibilities includes:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage social and creative events, wellness programs, and team-building activities.
  • Collect data, create reports and monitor and evaluate the success of programs, suggesting improvements.
  • Co-develop the creation and distribution of promotional materials to generate excitement and engagement in the thrive’ program at VU.

About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic project coordinator who excels at bringing people together and engaging them in rewarding experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving skills, be experienced in the provision of all facets of program delivery, including running sessions themselves, that may include creative, active, social, accessible and recreational pursuits.  Ideally you would have worked with a diverse range of clients which reflects the VU community.

You will also have:

  • An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in the provision of activities or program delivery in a recreation, creative, wellbeing or an active environment.
  • Knowledge or experience with a University or other tertiary education environment. 
  • Awareness of quality assurance policies and procedures and other government legislation relating to the Sport and Recreation industry.

 

Employment Conditions:

  • Classification: HEP 6
  • Salary: $91,796 - $99,361 per annum, plus 17% Super.
  • Employment Type: Full Time - Ongoing 
  • Hours per Week: 36.75 hours per week
  • Location: Footscray Park Campus
