River Crest Country Club is looking to add a Part Time Barista for our Crest Cafe. Pay is $18 - $20 per hour plus 15% Service Charge based on verifiable experience. Located five miles from downtown Fort Worth, River Crest is Fort Worth's oldest and most storied country club.

JOB SUMMARY:

Baristas are responsible for preparing café area for food and beverage service by stocking items needed on a daily basis. Baristas will be responsible for making a wide variety of hot and cold drinks as well as taking orders on the phone. Baristas will also work closely with ToGo food orders.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent customer service skills, computer and math literate, good verbal communication skills


• Must be able to operate an Espresso machine and make blended drinks


• Must have excellent phone skills for taking orders


• Must be at least 18 years old


• Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions.


• Must present a neat and clean personal appearance.


• Must have timely, reliable attendance.


• Must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward Members, Guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors.

• Education Required: Food Handlers Certification; TABC if 18 years old (within 30-days of hire; will provide)

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS:

• Set up café and ToGo stations and maintain adequate supplies


• Provide immediate attention to all Members and Guests upon phone and window operations


• Answer menu questions


• Suggest coffee or tea drinks as well as Togo items


• Present specials and suggest menu items


• Take orders and put in POS computer system in a timely manner


• Take correct orders and bag assembly of Togo orders


• Present bill


• Handle all charge tickets


• Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur


• Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by Manager


• Report to the supervisor to receive instructions of any special duties or events


• Completes all service duties in accordance with the guidelines for high standards of service set forth by the Club


• Greet Members and their Guests by last name whenever possible


• Ensure that Members and their Guests receive immediate attention and service upon arrival


• Observe all club policies in dealing with Members and non-members in club usage


• Ensures that all established service procedures and standards are adhered to and performed with the emphasis on giving superior service to the Members


• Work special events for the Club in a variety of positions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and move entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials/objects


• Able to comfortably lift up to 40 lbs


• Use hands and arms to handle, install, position, move materials, and manipulate objects


• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
