Purpose
The Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing all payment execution, tax coordination, and cash management across multiple companies. This role is hands-on and requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing financial activity across different entities.
Core Responsibilities

- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable (AP) for multiple entities
· Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time
· Manage weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, check) and maintain payment schedules
· Ensure proper approvals and internal controls are followed for all disbursements
· Coordinate and track tax filings and payments (sales tax, use tax, 1099s, etc.)
· Assist with gathering documentation for CPAs and external tax preparers
· Monitor and manage cash flow across multiple companies, including fund transfers between accounts
· Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
· Maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system
· Assist with month-end close, including accruals and journal entries
· Identify process improvements to streamline AP and cash management workflows
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
· 2–5 years of accounting experience (multi-entity experience preferred)
· Strong understanding of AP, cash management, and basic tax compliance
· Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics)
· Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, reconciliations, data organization)
· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience handling intercompany transactions
· Familiarity with multi-entity structures and consolidations
· Experience working with external auditors or tax advisors
- Dynamics 365 Business Central experience

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
