Avail Health Behavioral & Solutions is seeking dependable, compassionate, and motivated Direct Care Providers to join our growing team. This role involves providing hands-on support and coaching to individuals in home and community settings while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and personal growth.
Direct Care Providers assist clients with daily living skills, community integration, goal achievement, and maintaining a stable and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities and independent living skills
- Support clients with meal preparation, hygiene reminders, budgeting, and household organization
- Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities when needed
- Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce person-centered goals
- Maintain professional boundaries and respectful communication
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
- Ensure client safety and follow all company policies and APD guidelines
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and support coordinators
- Promote client dignity, choice, and community involvement
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass Level II Background Screening
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
